We just had a great min-reunion dinner party in
North Brunswick, NJ with 10 classmates
attending.  We had a total of 19 in the party,
including our wives.  The party will continue into
tomorrow in Carmel and Flushing, New York to
be hosted by  詹恭明.  I don't know if you can
post a video slideshow on your HCHS website.
But I send it to your anyway. See how many of the
classmates you folks can identify - a big challenge!

Folks,

Here is a video slideshow that I made from photo
taken at tonight's reunion dinner party.  I will post on
msn's skydrive later a full version of the show
including a 2 minute video clip.  The full version is
too big of a file to send out by email.  Hope you will
enjoy; we all look a bit old, but happy.

Dear all,

Here are two group pictures that we took at New
jersey (9/3/2010) and New York (9/4/2010)
respectively with annotations.

Dan Chen
Folks,

Thanks to Dr. Jan Kung-Ming's gracious and
generous hospitality, we all had a wonderful
get-together at his secluded mountain retreat.  I am
posting the first installment of three short videos
that I made out of pictures and  video clips taken

忽成行;

累十觴;

I read somewhere that " high school is a gateway to
adulthood",
and that gave me inspirations to write a poem
(sonnet). I take the liberty
of copying it here.

Gateway                        D. J. Lee,    Sept. 2010
(draft)

Arrived at the gateway, the creek was running high,
Some sought happiness; others fame or gold.
It would lead us to paradise, wished you and I.
One day we departed for a dream mighty bold.

Soon my innocence was crushed by the rising
And falling tides of time. Helpless, I tried to stand.
Like a bird flew off for a thousand miles, facing
Head winds, found pastures no greener than home
land.

Retrieved a half-broken dream, I know no finite
Truth. I have felt more bitter than sweet.
Sailing in fading embers of the day, in hindsight
I see days at the gateway as days of a great treat.

The path to Eden was lost, ever since Adam's fall.
Those arriving at the gate must labour and stand tall.

Sincerely

D. J. Lee

Folks,

Here is the last installment of the class reunion
videos.  Hope you will enjoy them.  These videos
certainly brought back a lot memories; even when I
was editing them back and forth!  We want to thank
Ben Chang, Jan Kung-Ming and Chen Sheng Chien
for help organize this hectic but wonderful two-day
mini-reunion party.  We also want to thank those of
you coming all the way from Maryland to make this
a decent size mini-reunion.  Let's keep in touch, now
that we all have gotten re-acquainted and have had
each other's email addresses at our fingertip.

Chon Cheng

PS - I will be putting all four videos into one DVD
for Chen Sheng Chien as he does not have access to
email.  I will also make a DVD copy for Ben Chang
to bring to Taiwan to show and share our reunion
joys with our HCHS classmates when he attend the
big reunion party in Hsinchu this coming December.
I can easily make extra copies for anyone interested
in having one. Just drop me a note.
Hi, Chong Cheng,

Great job.  That is really a wonderful and
memoriable clip of our reunion after 50 years.
Thank you.

Dan
Dear CS, Kung-Ming, Woo-Tien and All:

I have seen all four(?) videos(NJ/Fu-Jii Restaurant,
Kung-Ming's Summer Retreat, Chuang Yen Temple
and Mu-Lan/Flushing, NY), one by
one, tonight. Wonderful job, Chon-Hsiung. Shall we
give him and Mrs. Cheng a good and long round of
applause. To me, they did a quite
professional job. No wonder, Dr. Lee asked for the
information on the video camera and other
equipments for editing.

As far as the thank-you list goes, I DO NOT belong
to and on it. I would rather show all gratitude to you,
Kung-Ming and Yu Shiuan for
the arrangement of Fu-Jii, KM's retreat and Mu-Lan.
Just making a phone call to Mu-Lan and collecting
your partial share of tabs was my pleasure as well as
honor. Oh, yes. Once again, let's thank Kung-Ming
for taking the remaining tab at Mu-Lan, leading two
cars(Dan's and
Liang-Lii's) from Fu-Jii back to his NY retreat and
three cars(mine, Dan's and Sheng-Jieh's) from retreat
to Flushing, and guiding us(me and
Da-Ming) out Flushing through GW Bridge to
safety, New Jersey. Man, you all should have seen
the mess that we were in THAT evening
and on THAT long less-traveled road(at least to me
and Dan). I drove between KM and DM. After the
first toll bridge, Da-Ming got so far
behind that Tiffany, my wife used her cell phone
through Li-Ching to guide Da-Ming on the right
track and finally tagged right after my
car. Kung-Ming flashed his car off and on all the
way and worried about us until he and his wife saw
our cars off and onto I-80 west. To me,
it was thrill as well as scare.

On my last-minute request, Woo-Tien and Mrs. Wu
took me, Tiffany, Da-Ming and Li-Ching in for an
overnight stay. I am very grateful, Joseph.
That bottle of Beringer/Private Reserve not only
granted the celebration of our reminiscence, but also
soothed our trauma or nightmare in
NY city. Indeed, this red wine tasted like a wild and
pretty woman!

Sheng-Jieh, I am sorry that we left you four behind
and getting lost in Flushing for a while. Hope that
nothing bad happened to you and
scared you all out of New York city for good.

Chon-Hsiung, I noticed that you also sent all videos
to Bill(Wei-Tsun), too. I am sure that they will keep
him busy for a while. It will be
interesting to see that how other classmates react and
comment after the posting of your videos on his web
sites. On the same subject,
I will be more than happy to take them to our
December reunion, to show and briefly explain.

Warmest regards,

Kwei-Yang Ben Chang
Ben and All:

You bet, got lost in Flushing at night was not fun, it
was somewhat scarely at times, we circled around
and around and didn't know how long we had to do
sight seeing in darkness as we tried to figure out how
to get out of that darn place, and vowed not to come
back to NYC any more. Just kidding, as a matter of
fact, we felt a sense of relief and even
accomplishment when we reached Verrazano Bridge
and were sure we did finally meneuver out of that
big apple. We admire you people living and working
in NYC, you are wonder women and super men.

Great to see all of you, old friends and their better
halves. Everybody looks just like fifty years ago,
never chaged! Wish we all have fifty more better
years to enjoy.

Thanks to Chong, Ben and Dan for the videos and
pictures, they are great records of our minireunion.
Finaly, but not the least, great thanks to Kung-Ming
and wife for organizing this wonderful and
memorable event.

Best Wishes,

Sheng

My wife (Lynne)  and I were so happy and honored
that you two couples would stay at our

simple house overnight after the group re-reunion.
We have so many things to talk about in

a so short time after 50 years. I am very happy to
report to you from my observation that

we all are still healthy and alert at this stage of our
life. I am hoping that we can keep

that way for many years to come, so that we can get
together to chat and laugh more in the years to come.
That is the best life all about.

As you know that time is too cruel, otherwise we
could talk much more even after one o’clock in the
morning after you had struggled the complex traffic
difficulties in New York City to come to my house in
New Jersey.

I was so happy to toast you with a bottle of wine
(from Beringer/Private Reserve)

after 50 years. I do appreciate that you described that
bottle of wine like a wild and pretty woman. If we
had more time together, I would like very much

to open another one from my cellar as a tender and
loving pussycat with irresistible soft touch.

I do like wine. I did write two articles about wine for
our University Alumni Association

of Great New York some year ago. One sentence I
would like to change after some more years of
drinking experiences is that I would not want to

buy a case of wine even it was very good at the time
of tasting.

I would only suggest to buy a few bottles more,
because our palate does change from time to time,
and every bottle of wine has its own specific
characteristics.

Attached please find the articles (Part 1 and Part 2)
for your reference.

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

All the best

1787 Chateau Lafite
Forbes Collection

Resveratrol, Catechin, Quercetin

(Louis
Pasteau)

winelibrary.com 和         garyswine.com
