Self Introduction:

My name is T.Y. Chuang. On November 1, 1986, I changed my career, from a Civil/Mechanical Engineer to a Real Estate Agent. I had been
performing earthquake safety research for nuclear power plants while I was with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL or the
Lab) for seven years. Prior to that, I had been the Piping Seismic and Computer Program Technical Expert in Bechtel Power Corporation (BPC)
for almost ten years after I graduated from the Cal Berkeley in 1969. I was working in the BPC’s San Francisco head quarters and I was in
charge of developing the Number One profit making computer program in BPC. I learned how to make money for the huge Corporation, but not
for myself. It was a very good experience in the business world.

I got my B.S. (Bachelor of Science) Degree in Civil Engineering from the National Taiwan University (NTU) in 1964. On September 4, 1965, I
came to the University of California (Cal) at Berkeley as a teaching assistant and I hardly spoke any English at all, but four years later I
earned both of my M.S. (Master of Science) and Ph.D. (Poor and Hungry Degree or Poor and Hungry Dad/Doctor of Philosophy) Degree from the
Division of Applied Mechanics in Mechanical Engineering Department at Cal Berkeley. On February 12, 1975, I obtained my P.E. (Poor
Engineer/Professional Engineer) license in Civil Engineering Branch from the California state government. I have been a licensed Civil
Engineer for over thirty years.
