| Dear Bill, my 竹中高中同學 and of course, your web site viewers: It has been a long while since I posted my message on your web site. How have you been? Truly hope that this e-mail finds everybody healthy and peaceful. Just send you several pictures taken at Martin Luther King's memorial to share with you all. As you see, King's statue looks as huge as Lincoln's. It sits right next to FDR's and across from Jefferson's. Of course, it is a walking distance from Washington Monument, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War, World I and II. There are a dozen of King's messages from his speeches including "I have a dream" and "I've seen promised land", inscribed on the wall behind his statue. I love them all. There is one barely read behind me in the last picture, saying "DARKNESS CANNOT DRIVE OUT DARKNESS, ONLY LIGHT CAN DO THAT. HATE CANNOT DRIVE OUT HATE, ONLY LOVE CAN DO THAT." Let's pray and hope that we, all, will think of these words day after day to realize our own dreams, black or white, even color, no matter. As far as mine goes, I will never let communism crack in my dream. the nightmares from serving the military service in Kin-Men was more than enough for this Taiwan Hakka.
