At the close of poll at 6pm, 7 March 2012, we received votes from 30 out of 34 Member centres. The counting of votes took place at the Esplanade’s office and was witnessed in the presence of AAPPAC appointed auditor, Moore Stephens LLP. Mdm Huang Pi-Twan, National Chiang Kai-Shek CulturalCenter, Taiwan R.O.C secured the highest votes from the Membership to be appointed as an Exco member. Following this and in accordance with the AAPPAC’s Rules of Association, an election was held within Exco for one Exco member to become our new Deputy Chairman. The votes from allExco members were received by 6pm, 9 March 2012 and the counting took place once again at the Esplanade’s office, witnessed by Esplanade’s Financial Controller. We are pleased to announce that Mdm Huang Pi-Twan, National Chiang Kai-Shek CulturalCenter, Taiwan R.O.C. secured the highest vote from the Exco to be appointed Deputy Chairman of the AAPPAC Exco. The term of appointment is from 12 March 2012 to 16 September 2013, or the end of the 2013 Annual General Meeting, whichever is later. This will also be ratified at the 2012 Annual General Meeting in Taipei. Our heartiest congratulations to Mdm Huang and please join me in welcoming her to the AAPPAC Exco.
