Chebao:

This is to let all know that 謝財豐 (Shieh Tasi-Fon)
lives in Denver, Colorado, USA, the same town where
I have lived over the past 27 years (Note: after my
retirement from the U.S. Geological Survey, Water
Resources Division, in Denver in 2006, I came back
to Taiwan as a Chair Professor with the Department
of Environmental Engineering, National Cheng Kung
University. However, I still keep my home in Denver).
謝財豐 and his family have been in Denver for some
25+ years. In Denver, 謝財豐 is not only my high-
school classmate and an old-time friend from Miaoli,
he and his wife are our closest family friends. This is
because his wife and my wife both also worked for
the U.S. Postal Office in Denver. 謝財豐 and his wife
have a bright son (now a surgent) and a bright
daughter (a business major), both being well
educated in the U.S. 謝財豐 had a very good
memory of the high-school activities that he enjoyed
recapturing these old events and stories with me.
Things about the Hsin-Chu High School have always
been the most favorite subject of his life.

About 5 years ago, it was very unfortunate that 謝財
豐 had a serious accident when taking a walk alone
in his neighborhood. He apparently fell backward
with his head hitting the ground (as no one saw how
itexactly happened) when he was tripped by
something, as his wife speculated, that led thereafter
to a serious damage of his brain. Despite a good
surgery, he lost a lot of physical strength and mental
capacity after this accident. He is now still
recovering, though very slowly, and requires a
considerable assistance in daily living. During the
last 5 years, I and my wife have been so much
touched by the care extended to ??? by his wife.
What a close tie between their hearts as husband and
wife! Let us all here pray for 謝財豐's recovery.

being kept in intensive care for last many
years. Both my wife and I  pray for his speedy

偉宗弟:

I would not surprise that he talked to your wife.
He is a talker, endless talker and called
everywhere in the world.  He may just
hibernate in somewhere now.  We may have to
wait until“his weather warming up.”If I hear
anything about him before the event naturally
you and  CheBo will be notified accordingly.

I just step in from Harrisburg, state capital of
Pennsylvania, where I have short meeting with
my friend state representative Scott whom is
running for Lieutenant Governor this
November.

Your hunting work should be appreciated by
many.  With my best wishes and regards.

淵泉師:

I called 謝財豐's  number (+1-720-842-4730) in
Colorado but found the number either disconnected
or non-existent.

Just now, I tried to do some Google search for "Issac
Shieh"; however, nothing turned up.

I tried.

淵泉師:

謝謝老師所提供 missing alumni 資訊, which I
believe are very useful information, that 哲保, 培坤
et al can use in possibly finding them.

I'll also help in the background.

All the best!
