2011-07-04, Monday: Washington DC: HCHS Class 1960 Reunion
Taiwan Island Village: 台灣島村: Hsinchu (Xinzhu) High School Reminisced    憶竹中   忆竹
Hi, George & all,

Sorry for being tardiness.  We were very excited for having a mini-reunion here in DC for the East coast area classmates, particularly Kuo Chin-yih and Lin Ih-foo, who drove more than eight hours
from Ohio to attend our gathering.  Other classmates included Jan Kung-ming, Lin Bo-siu, Chen Sheng-cheng, Chang Kwei-yang, Leu Sheng-jieh, Sun Sy-rong, Huang Liang-li, Chien Ming-kang, Lee
Ding-jen, myself, and one honor guest, guess who, 羅春宏 的 youngest sister 羅瑞枝, plus most of respective spouses.  Let me recap some of our activities and share with you all.

We started out the touring of Twin Oaks (雙橡園) at some friends' private request, with the help of TECRO's Consular officer Ms. Fu who provided almost an hour-long guided tour, we enjoyed the
afternoon outing on the first day.  Then we went to the buffet dinner eating and talking, and talking about anything including past stories and memories...

The next morning, while most of spouses went to the nearby Brookside Garden for flowering show by the nature, the guys kept talking and chatting the entire morning until lunch that is another
enjoyment many of us had hoped for.  We had Maryland's famous blue crabs for lunch, and of course, accompanied with beer.  In the afternoon,we originally planned to show wonderful DVDs made
by Ben's wife Tiffany who painstakingly took and edited them following the great reunion held in Hsinchu last year.  Unfortunately, we experienced technical difficulties and were unable to do so. My
appology to her.  Instead, Jan Kung-min who, as you know a versatile student, taught us I-ching Chin(易筋經) - a healthy exercise that could prolong our life span.

Later, we went to Hunan Palace for dinner and entertained with Karaoke.  Some sang, some danced, and some chatted until.............
Look forward to seeing you all next time.  Some pictures are attached.  Have a great summer!

Daniel
