Book by Teacher Joe Hsieh 謝淵泉之書: 系統流程與教育質衡
Taiwan Island Village: 台灣島村: Hsinchu (Xinzhu) High School Reminisced    憶竹中   忆竹
Dear Bill,

Thank you always for your enthusiasm for Class of 1960 as their information
center.  It has been a long time since we communicated last.  I wish this letter find you in good
spirit and health and most of all wishes you
continuously enjoy your every single trip you are taking in your future.

After seven years of prolonged works during my recent business life, I found
my time in writing of my book entitled 系統流程與教育質衡 (Systems Flow and Educational
Quality Gauging), total of 494 pages on PPT pictorial pattern
oriented in Chinese,(read from system frame flows) finally got off its final step for prototype printing locally. It
consists of 400 pages color PPT
along with black and white supplemental content to each specific chapter.

The philosophical idea is to let reader create his own mental images while
‘reading flow charts as in the mood of reading cartoon with brainstorms and mental process
concurrently with in which create logical thinking enable for
transformation of one’s old to new (creative) pattern pertaining to each specific topic he encountered.’

I have been crusaded my idea in Kiev, Lubeck(Germany), Cracow(Poland),
Shanghai, Taiwan, AAHPERR National Convention, NASPE National and regional conventions,
including Japan
Engineering Society regional convention as a gust of panel discussion in Tokyo etc., providing whenever I find myself have an opportunity during my
business trips in the past.

My book will not be yet completely built up without professional enthusiasts
vital view. Many professors from Taiwan and China even in the state, direct or indirect(by
translation and discussion), have given favorite feedback
after they reviewed my book.  As I promised you last year that I will let you know when I accomplished my book.
Now, it’s the time.

I hereby attached some specimen of the book as to your review.  They are:
  1. PPT specimen
  2. Resume and relations tree (for the very last page of the book)
  3. Prelude and others

The printer is my ex-sales-agent whom owned probably the biggest printing
company in State College(total 50,000 sqf). Ray said it could be the most easiest job he could
have down since he does not read Chinese. What he
should do is stick flash stick to computer and let it goes. The final publisher will be 五南出版社of Taipei for the time
being at my own expenses
although I have fund provider but rather not.

You may find my motivation, purpose and story pertaining to why I wrote this
book from the above attached prelude. Hopefully, you will see there is nothing come to my mind
but self-contribution along with one’s pursuing his
longitudinal effort in views of his goal and vision, all of them irrelative to the one’s age.

I am planning to visit colleges and universities of both aisles of Taiwan
Straight as to my 理念之旅. Aside of Taiwan which is remains undecided, I was invited by the College
of Engineering(Dept. of Ind. Eng.)
吉林大學, College of Education at天津大學, 上海華東師範大學(both arranging) and a couple of others in China as to my threshold of this
journey.

My work endured rather long period of time without recess not only alongside
of my business obligation but my personal belief in educational quantitative approaches as
revolutionary process which has been attributed its major
factor. New Idea needs someone to throw first pitch to see how people react. For this I am the one with such
consistency as many reviewers commented.

Translation into English for the book has suggested by some professors from
PSU and others.  Others found them very keen interest on some issues the book suggested.
For all of this, at my age, I do not have good appetite.
Those should remain for people to work in future.

Salute to your work for Class of 1960 and all the best to you and your
family.
