After I have read the outstanding achievements in your career, I cannot help writing you. We all grew up in the same town,
竹 南 鎮, 開 元 里 and only a few houses away from each other. We all are very proud of you. I still remember that you
lived in the dormitory during the school year but I did not, so that I took train from 竹 南 to 新 竹 every morning during the
weekdays. I still remember that your mother once in a while cooked some great gourmet and asked me to deliver that to
you occasionally. What the time flies! That was more than 50 years ago.
We live in NJ about 20 miles away from New York City. You can find all the info from the directory compiled by Dr. Che-

I am so grateful for your prompt reply. The last time I went back to Chu-Nan was around 1980 to pay my respect to my
grandpa's grave. The town was quite decayed and had a totally different appearance from what I could remember as a
kid. I am getting old and older every day.
It will be the most wonderful thing ever happening to me if the reunion for the entire class of 1954, Chu-nan Elementary
School, could become a reality.
I have told Che-Bao that I am the luckiest man on this planet after I have established my own biotech company for more
than 20 years, and have served the scientific community throughout the world.
However, if you could make that reunion matter happen, I would tell you that I would be the happiest man on this planet. I
am very excited to get reconnected with you, one of the most accomplished schoolmates and also my hometown friend.
