| Email from Shing Lin: Dear Classmates, It is always nice to see our classmates & chat about something even if it is trivial. AhMo said he had to spend 5 hours to drive from Bodega Bay to Palo Alto. It sounded excessive, but during rush hour abound 5 pm, it just might happen that way. Perhaps the birds in Bodega Bay caused him trouble? I passed by Bodega Bay several years ago and found the birds there were quite normal and didn't behave as the Hitchcock's movie portrayed. AhMo looked tired & beat after the long driving but he recovered quickly and resumed his good old style. His hair did impress me, it is not only pitch black but also shining with light. He complained that most people don't believe his hair color is natural. I rather like to believe him this time even I don't agree with him on other matter a lot of other time. Ann came late but the mood lighted up more after her arrival. Chinlu got some cold & didn't come. Some observations: Garbo She looks nice, graceful & soft spoken with a cane for helping walk. Hope she recovers soon. Ben Hu He still sounds calm & resourceful, although occasionally raises his voice a little bit. George & 佳穎 They are a nice couple & look cheerful in any appearance. Charles & Peggy Charles always gives me the impression that he knows much more than he says. Peggy has a rare appearance since the honey-tasting gathering last time. AhMo said time goes fast but forgot which year it was. I checked our EE blog, the gathering was March 2013, more than one year ago. We still remember that happy gathering & thank Peggy for her hosting. Gus Still smiling. He said he made a lot of progress in his business endeavor. I am very glad to hear about his story. Although our classmates haven't invested anything in his new invention, we all wish him well & success. 遂全 & 月材 遂全 practices golf these days & looks fit & healthy. I like his smile. I asked 月材 what 女士們 talked about for the whole two hours. She replied without hesitation: "our husband'. I am sure they all talked about the good parts of their husbands. Ann She is always well dressed & in good taste. She is also a good writer. We encourage her to write more poems & essays In summary: Everyone of us is unique and has his/her own merit. It is easy for me to see the nice & pleasant part of each individual. Well, where is our not-so pleasant part if exists? Of course, nobody is perfect. The point is that if we focus on the good side of the human behavior, we will make this world a better place to live. Amen! PS: Attached four photos taken in HongKong Restaurant, Palo Alto. |
